The state election commission of Tamil Nadu, Palanikumar, announced that the whole election procedure like counting, polling, and others would be held under the security of CCTV cameras. The Tamil Nadu election nomination filling starts on 28^th January 2022 and will remain close on 4^th February 2022. The state commissioner of Tamil Nadu elections addressed a press conference in which the election body has announced that urban local elections votes are successfully conducted. The counting of the result will be held on 22^nd February 2022. The election polling will be arranged for 490 municipalities, 138 municipalities, and 21 corporations in only one phase. Therefore, the voting result will commence tomorrow.

The withdrawal date of nomination for the candidate is 7^th January 2022. According to the latest announcement, the state election commission said to schedule a poll after the Madras High Court grants permission to urban local bodies for conducting the elections on Tuesday.

Under the surveillance of representatives of political parties,  859 digital voting machines were set to count the votes. At 268 polling stations, the voting counting procedure will be held. A total of 74416 candidates has participated, including many independent parties. Till now, 65 tables have been arranged to count the votes total of 759 vote machines. A few of the famous political parties who are battling against each other are as follows:- DMK ( ruling party), Naam Tamilar Katchi, Makkal Needhi Maiam, Pattali Makkal Katchi, AIADMK, BJP, Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazagam, and Congress. According to the voting percentage, the superior Chennai Corporation possesses the lowest voting percentage of 43.59.

On the other hand, Karur leads with the highest percentage of voting, 75.84%. During the election days, a total of one lakh cops were arranged. Votes counting will be arranged in a total of 268 towns. As per the recent update, 81.37% of votes for Dharmapuri, whereas Nilgiris has fewer votes with59.98%. Municipalities and town panchayat had the higher vote of 68.22% and 74.68 %. The final result will declare on 22^nd February 2022.
