Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is going to recruit 1522 Posts of Constable (Driver, Laboratory Assistant, Veterinary, Ayah, Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Tailor, Cobbler, Gardener, Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Water Carrier & Waiter). About the Exam :
All the Eligible & Interested Candidates who Filled the Online Application form will face the Exam. PST / PWT Will be Conducted first & the Date of the Physical Test Will be Announce Later on the Official Website. More Details about the Exam will be as Follows.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
All candidates will have to undergo the Physical Efficiency Test, which will be qualifying in nature and the candidate must qualify for the event as under:-
|Male||4.8 Kms. Race in 24 minutes|
|Female||2.4 Kms. Race in 18 minutes|
► Ex-servicemen are exempted from the Physical Efficiency Test.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
The Candidates who qualify for the Physical Efficiency Test will have to undergo Physical Standard Test. Ex-servicemen are exempted from PST. However, their actual height, weight, and chest measurements will be recorded:-
Constable (Driver) :
|For all candidates not belonging to 1, 2, 3 & 4 below||170 cms||80-85 cms|
|1. For Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas candidates and candidates belonging to the States of Assam, Himachal Pradesh, State of J&K.||165 cms||78-83 cms|

The scheme of the SSB Constable exam will be as follows :
► The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
► There will be a question paper carrying 100 questions of a total of 100 marks.
► The duration of the test will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► Minimum qualifying marks for all posts will be- 50% for General; 45% for SC/ST/OBC.
SSB Constable Detailed Syllabus:-
SSB Constable Exam Syllabus is discussed below :
General Knowledge: History, Geography, and Socio-Economic development of India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The paper will also include questions on Modern History (From 1857 onwards) of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.
Numerical Ability: The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.
General English & Hindi: Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested. Questions will be asked from error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles, etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, etc.
General Reasoning: It will include the question of both verbal and non-verbal type. Question will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, problem-solving, relationship, arithmetical computation, and other analytical functions, Venn diagrams, relationship concepts, and Ability to observe and distinguish patterns, etc.
The Trade Test will be of 50 marks and the minimum qualifying marks for all candidates including SC / ST / OBC category candidates will be 60%. The final merit will be drawn based on marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test (CET) and Trade Test.
