CBSE Syllabus Revised for Class 11th – Download Syllabus Reduction of English/Physics & Computer Science (& Other Subjects) – The Central Board of Secondary Education has removed certain parts form 11th standard syllabus. Many alternative statements and views arisen form parents and teachers about this change. Due to Covid-19 lockdown none of the schools were opened, all the classes were conducted thorough online mode only. Because of that in the 30% of syllabus were removed last year for 9th to 12th standard. Now, CBSE announced that they are going to remove some of the parts from 11th standard syllabus.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal asked many of the educators and school teachers about reducing students burden for academic year 2021-22 and received more than 1500 ideas on twitter about changing 11th syllabus. Finally, Union Minister Rames Pokhriyal came out with new syllabus for 11th standard and thanked all people who gave ideas on twitter. But many parents and educators also criticised this syllabus.
CBSE has removed chapters such as Secularism, Federalism, Citizenship, and Nationalism from the 11th standard political science. And some removed some of the topics such as Development of Local Governments in India and Why Local Governments Needed. CBSE also eliminates some areas in 10th standard such as Democracy and Diversity, Gender, Religion, Caste, Popular Struggles and important movements happened in India.
Many academics accuse that the Central Government removing key subject areas which are required for students. But CBSE discarded that statement and said that none of the key essence was removed from any subject and explained that if a topic is removed it means only that area is not asked in final examination. Students can read that subject in any ways.
