Tamil Nadu Full Lockdown Extended till 01.06.2021 | Check Curfew Relaxation Details Here. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced that a complete curfew will be extended for the next one week to control the spread of the coronavirus in Tamil Nadu. According to a press release issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the curfew currently in force to control the spread of the epidemic will be implemented in Tamil Nadu for a further period of one week from 24.05.2021 without any further relaxation.

The Relaxations are

  1. Dispensaries, country drug stores, veterinary dispensaries, milk distribution, drinking water, daily newspaper are running as usual.
  2. The vegetables and fruits will be provided by the Department of Horticulture in vehicles in collaboration with the concerned local bodies in the city of Chennai and all the districts. Only the essential departments operate in the General Secretariat and the districts.
  3. Private companies, banks, and insurance companies are being asked to work from home. The electronic service can operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  4. Restaurants are only allowed for parcel service at certain times from 6 -10 in the morning, 12-3 in the evening, and 6-9 at night. Companies that distribute food through e-commerce such as Zwicky and Somato are only allowed at the above times.
  5. Petrol and diesel stocks will run as usual. ATMs will allow services for them.
  6. Trucks will be allowed to move and carry essential items.
  7. Only those with appropriate medical causes and deaths will be allowed to leave the district with the e-pass. No e-pass is required to travel within the district for medical reasons.
  1. News and media companies can operate as usual. Continuing process factories that continue to operate without interruption will be allowed to operate by the guidelines already stated in the manufacturing of essential goods and medical equipment.
  2. In the interest of the public, all shops are allowed to open from 9 pm tonight and from 6 am to 9 pm tomorrow. Malls are not allowed.
  3. It has been mentioned that private and government buses will be allowed to travel abroad today and tomorrow in the interest of outbound travelers.
